hmmm. weird. I can not stand any sort of horror or scary movie. And things that a lot of people don't consider scary I find VERY frightening. I can't even watch the commercials. No All of my friends know that we're going to see a movie 1)It won't have a bunch of sex scenes 2) there is no way that it will be even remotely scary.
I guess I just don't enjoy the feeling of being scared and don't really see the point in watching something that's basically a bunch of evil things that are scaring you...I just don't get how that is fun or should be fun in any way.

Larissa, you didn't like Transformers?! I absolutely loved it! I started nodding off during the movie but that was just because we went to a really late showing. What didn't you like about it?

I loved it toooooo! Are you guys excited for the second one?

It doesn't interest everybody and that's okay Smile

I saw Star Trek on Saturday too!! Soooooooo good Very Happy I'm hoping that they'll keep making some more now, with the same actors *fingers crossed*

Yeah, Transformers 2... I spose I'll see it when it's out on DVD sometime, as it's not something I'd pay to go see, especially with that girl had her stupid short shorts and constant midriff showing Rolling Eyes I mean, I have a "higher" tolerance for that sort of stuff that most of you, but even she got on my nerves. Totally unecessary. And what was with the whole scene in his bedroom towards the end? Where the parents were concerned what he was doing in his room "Were you masturbating?" (which they didn't see as a bad thing at all) until they see the girl there, and suddenly everything's ok Rolling Eyes
So yeah, would be interested in the storyline, but chances are it'll be something the guys hire at some point and I'll watch it with them.

Yeah, both of those things bugged me too and I seriously considered having them taken out (there are places here that will do that for you, but it tends to be expensive)..so I usually just skip over the room scene. I just fell in love with the characters and the robots and Shia is my favorite actor.

I've heard Star Trek was amazing but have yet to see it!! There's a few chickflicks coming out this summer that will be good as well Smile And the new Pixar movie!

Yeah, I've looked it up before online..and then there is this DVD player called Clear Player I found at Target that will remove things as well but I think it takes like ALL the violence out as well as swearing, ect. Plus I think you have to subscribe to the service..?

http://www.clearplay.com/

Here's the link..

Cast Away. I really like it. My mom and I finally bought after seeing it so many times on TV. It was only five dollars.

Have you used Clear Play before? I was wondering how that worked. The problem is that you would have to be careful in deciding what to take out of movies because some movies, the "bad" parts are necessary to the plot; not always, but sometimes. Like the scene described earlier is definitely not necessary.

We used to buy movies from Family Films. I don't know if any of you have watched The Inheritance (based on Louisa May Alcott's book). It is a great movie. We watched it on TV unedited and it has one part where the bad guy is rather crude towards the main character and the women wear cleavage-bearing dresses because of the time period. Family Films edits movies and that scene was taken out (which is so neccessary to the plot) and they covered all cleavage (which made it look really weird because it wasn't done that well). Sadly, that was a waste of money. Now I need to find it, but this time the unedited version.

Hahaha! Sorry, I know they must have good intentions, but that is really funny that they digitally try and cover the women up! Laughing Sometimes I think that's just taking it too far.

hmmm clearplay sounds pretty interesting. Apparently you can set the filter setting to as little or as much filtering as you want!

Exactly..like, I don't watch a lot of action/horror films in the first place because I get too involved in the plot and it causes me anxiety, odd I know..so I'm not sure if it'd be worth it to me. Films like the Notebook Shocked Shocked it would definitely be worth it to censor because that movie is great otherwise..it's something to consider. I'm glad they make something like that because the lack of morals in the entertainment industry is so disheartening sometimes.

I'm going to see Star Trek today!!!

And I saw the first TV spot for T:RotF. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen...so stoked. It's going to be SO good!
