I remember going once - to the drive-in - to see Pocahontas. Razz

ever?
Ever. I didn't see my first one till I was nearly 12 when my grandparents brought me, my sister (5 years older - her first as well), and my brother (2.5 years older, same story). Then when Jonah came out, we took the whole family for the first time ever. Smile And...when Wall-E was in theaters, some friends had given us money to go see a movie, so we went to see it. Very Happy Then the youth group I help out with had an outing and they decided they wanted to see Up, so I went along as a chaperone, and therefore got to see it for free. Smile

That is so weird to me! Shocked I didn't really go much as a kid, admittedly, but I love going now and go as often as I can afford (sometimes that isn't very often.... Sad).

Linz and Elisabeth, I admit that seems kind of weird to me, too. Not like a bad weird or anything. Just really different than what I'm used to. We don't go CONSTANTLY, by any means, but I go see 4 a year usually...or more. Goodness, when I was dating my ex we saw almost one a week. But he was the one that was always wanting to go see this movie or that movie and he paid, so I just got dragged along. Plus, my standards for movies weren't quite as high then..

King Kong. The newest one, which was made in 2005 or 2006, I can't remember.
Did you know that it is 3 hours long? Shocked Yeah, I found that out last night.
And the dinosaurs look really fake.
It's amazing how a movie can make you feel sad for a gigantic ape.

Linz and Elisabeth, I don't think that is weird at all. I know that I went to see one movie in my young childhood I believe...though that might have been my sister, I can't remember at the moment. Razz I started going to see movies a couple of years ago...but I don't go very often. Usually there is nothing worth my time or money. And really, you can rent a movie from the video store way cheaper, or you can wait until it comes on TV, or your friend buys it so you can borrow it. Razz

When we were kids we couldn't afford to go see movies so I hadn't seen that many in theaters until I was a teenager..we'd go see things like Toy Story and Dad of course took us to see the Star Wars prequels Smile..these days, I only go see them if they look good and I like who is in them. Ten bucks is a lot of money. I generally Netflix everything!

Now if only I had time to actually WATCH the netflix lol

Terminator 2 - Judgment Day

I still haven't seen #3 but between the 1st one and 4th, that just came out, this is the best.

It had an interesting story and really awesome chases.

Hasta la vista...BABY!

It is kinda weird...but it was a combination of not wanting the content in most movies (whatever is good...honorable...pure...think upon things things" - Heb 4:8 or so, I think) and not having the money to take the family. I mean, at $8 a ticket, with 10 people, that's $80...the whole clothes budget for the month was $50, so, that's 1.6 months worth of clothes, all for a movie. Rather just rent it later...or if it's realy good, we buy it, and then we can re-watch it as many times as we like. Very Happy

I couldn't tell you the last movie I saw in the theaters was. Maybe "Ratatouille" (ugh Grumpy ). The last movie I watched at home was "Sense and Sensibility" after I finally finished reading the book. Smile

Wow...I am so impressed that you both read and watched Sense and Sensibility. I guess I didn't think a guy would enjoy that kind of entertainment. Did you like it?? It is one of my favorites.

The last movie I watched that I really liked was Confessions of a Shopaholic. I watched it with a girl friend...we couldn't stop laughing.
