God promises that He'll give us the best things, and that no prayer goes unanswered. That doesn't mean He'll always give us what we ask for...but He'll give us what we need and what's best. I know that giving up guys isn't easy.

It's not too long since there was a guy I really wanted to marry and spend my whole life with, and Dad told him "no"....so, I do understand. Go ahead and pray about it, and know that God will give you the best thing. It's like with kids... If a kid's deathly allergic to peanut butter, no matter how much that kid begs its mom for peanut butter, a good mom won't give it to the child. However, the mom will give the child a cheese sandwich or something - something nutritious that will help the kid...and not kill it.
Jesus says that if human parents can give good gifts to their children, then how much more will our father in Heaven give good gifts to His children! So pray and draw near to God...and pray for Skyler to find God...and tell God exactly what you want, and know that He will give you what's best, in His perfect timing.
And I know it's hard. I'm with you there. But I also know that God is faithful, because day by day, He is proving His faithfulness to me...both on the days when it's easy to trust Him and on the days when I want to just curl up in a ball and cry.
