PostSubject: Loss of a dear friend   Tue Nov 17, 2009 8:27 am

My dearest friend passed away sometime this weekend, but I only found out tonight. So there's no confusion, she is my pet cat, but I considered her as one of the family and a really good friend. I guess I would like some prayer of comfort or something, as she's not here to give me that anymore.

I feel weird caring so much because she's just a cat. But really, she's more than that, she has been a good friend in times when I didn't have any and she's been with me for nearly 9 years.

That's me and her a couple of years ago :-)

Awww... Hug I know what you mean and there's nothing silly about it. I cried when we had to put down our old dog...we'd had her for as long as I could remember. So, I understand, and you're not crazy at all. I'll be praying for you!

Ok Lesley, you freaked me out... I thought you might have been talking about Rosalie! But I'm still really sorry to hear that... I liked that cat too

That's what I thought! Hence my strange, uncertainty!

How'd you find out?? (and I'm praying for you)

I put up a few posters around the outside coz I hadn't seen her since Saturday, then my neighbors told me they found her and showed me.
I'm getting her cremated. Which is weird, but I didn't like the idea of burying her here.

I'm so sorry. I lost my kitty a couple of years ago and it still hurts to think about. (That isn't to say that you won't feel better eventually.) I know some people can be "oh, it's just a cat" but I love all of my animals and I cry every time one dies. I'll be praying. Hug
