Sorry, it's me again - another exam request. I am sorry to be so selfish - but this exam (one component tomorrow, the other half of the component next Tuesday) is one that I'm making up from last year. This equals double pressure. It's anatomy lab tomorrow, and I spent so long practicing in the lab yesterday and today. If you could please pray that I'll remember the names of things that I know I've learnt when the pressure comes that would be great. Also that the maths/physicsy questions will be areas that I've worked on, and that the smell of the lab with the wet dissections doesn't go to my head and make me feel queasy and unable to think straight. I have studied for the written part too, but have further to go. (Thursday night, Friday and weekend...). If you could pray the exam is 'kind' to my areas and that I keep a cool head here too I would love it. Also that I keep focused and retain what I've learnt... I am sorry to keep asking for exam prayer requests. School seems to get a bit too much for me sometimes (well, exam times!).

Don't worry about keeping asking - I know how it seems all-consuming when you're in the middle of it! I'll be praying that they go well for you. Oh, and I'll be praying that you cope with the dissection smell too. My former flatmate used to have a panic attack each time she had to go in a dissection room, so I know how horrible it can be in there.

Thankyou. I really dislike the dissection smell. Unfortunately, I'm in the afternoon exam session = worse smell as stuff has been out for longer and smell has had a chance to build. I really hope I pass and then I won't have to go to a wet lab again.

Thanks guys. The practical part of the exam went okay I think - not as well as I was hoping though. I'm trying not to think about it - its so hard and you start to think you did so much worse (or better!) than you actually did. I've been keeping studying, and I had a major stress out last night, but mostly just plodding along. It makes me a bit sad though, and kind of ready for this exam to be over! Once again, thanks so much.

| Just focus on the next part and wait for the results back...though I know that's a lot easier said than done! Hope it is good when you get it! _________________ ...they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Acts 17:11

Yeah. I've learnt in med school you can go into an exam, walk out and have no idea how you actually went, because it all depends on whether or not you answered in the direction they decided their question went... They're all over and I don't think I have any more assessments until late November (yay!). The written exam was unexpected (40% of the marks were on a specific condition and nothing on the "mainstream" respiratory disease topics (e.g. asthma, COPD, emphysema, cor pulmonale...). The lecturer has a habit of doing that - I think one year a good proportion of the exam was on pigeon fanciers lung!? Anyway, I shall keep you posted when I hear.

I'm glad they're all over for you and hope you manage to keep calm as you wait. Do you have any idea how long it'll be till you hear your results?

Actually, I have no idea. I should go and ask as to when I might hear. Depends on how long they take to mark them, and when the next exam board meeting is after that. And then it depends on when/if someone tells me!

Just an update. I found out I passed. Actually, I found out by going to the coordinator and asking him because I'm still yet to receive the email. I knew the exam board was meeting this afternoon, and when I hadn't heard anything by 4:30 I went to see him. Such a relief. I don't know my mark - and quite frankly, was too excited to even think about asking if I was allowed to know (we're ordinarily not told, just told we've "achieved competency" and "passed" their line in the sand, wherever they happen to set it...). I was so happy I cried. And then danced in the hallway. Haha. Thanks so much everyone for praying.
