| OOH! What have you studied? And what's your PhD on?!! Ben printed, bound and handed up this week, and it looks nice and big and red, and impressive of course (doesn't it, Riss?!!) Ahem... just kinda excited that he's finished 7 years of studying... And proud... Ahem. And your guy looks like a good one A friendly, funny, all-round-nice-guy kinda guy! _________________ Happy mummy!

| I did BA Classics, MA Classical Art and Archaeology, and am now doing a PhD in Archaeology (Late Bronze Age - Early Iron Age Greek feasting practices). I can't wait to submit now....I hope to by early autumn so not too far now! I'm not bored with my topic yet (amazingly!), but I really really need an income now. |

| Ooooh! Wow! Were the Greeks the ones with the vomit pots that they gave their guests so they could keep eating, or was that someone else? Romans? Can't remember. Just remember vomit pots. (You can tell I learnt a lot in early high school ancient history.) And queenbee: a red thesis goes faster. (FYI: My honours thesis was bound in green - a nice, deep British racing car green. I debated for much too long on the binding colour.) |

| I think ours have to be navy blue! I'm sure we don't get a choice in the colour... And, Kim, it was the Romans! Greeks would never do anything so uncivilised as that... |

| This is off topic..but if it wasn't, then it wouldn't be KF..my question is that how in the world did you keep yourself motivated for seven years? I've been in college for five and will finally have my B.A (I started college in high school). I'm still considering going on for my M.A. but right now it sounds like so much work! _________________ (formerly Butterfly)

| Probably two things - a) I was home-schooled all the way, so was used to setting my own timetables and working on my own. I have always worked at my own pace and set my own targets, so it didn't really feel much different getting to uni compared to school. b) I love my subject! It's pretty easy to do when you are so keen to find out more about the subject you are studying. |
