| I see "pare" and think of chef-turned-actor Michael Pare (pronounced Pa-ray, and nobody else outside of my dad and Michael's parents have ever heard of him even though he was in a couple decent movies in the 1980's, not that anyone else cares, but I wanted to get that off my chest ) So yeah, that riddle didn't make any sense to me. It did to someone else though and that's what matters. Anyway... |

| Ok, in the ocean there is a ship. The deck of the ship is 12 feet above the surface of the water. Over the side of the ship is a rope ladder. There are 12 rungs on the ladder, each a foot apart. If the water is rising at the rate of one foot per hour, how long until the rope ladder is covered by water? _________________ Forum Family *BurntIre* ~ Sister prissyprincess ~ Sister PinkQT ~ Sister songoftherose ~ Aunt (ant) Russ ~ Uncle Jessica ~ Aunt Brittany ~ Mom butterflychicka ~ Sister Sparkling4Him ~ Sister liberatedcaptive ~ Sister |

| until the ship capsizes?????? The water wouldn't fill up the ship just because it's rising...wouldn't the ship just rise, as well? I'm confused. _________________ Mi familia! sisters: Twinkledust Stylnz Kris Berny

You're good. It's a trick question - usually people answer "12 hours" without thinking._________________ Forum Family *BurntIre* ~ Sister prissyprincess ~ Sister PinkQT ~ Sister songoftherose ~ Aunt (ant) Russ ~ Uncle Jessica ~ Aunt Brittany ~ Mom butterflychicka ~ Sister Sparkling4Him ~ Sister liberatedcaptive ~ Sister |

| If I've shared this one with you before, don't answer. What seven letters did the girl say to the refrigerator? |

The boat would rise with the water. Unless of course, there's a hole in the boat._________________ Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new - Albert Einstein |

| You have a goose, a fox, and a bag of corn that you need to take to the other side of the river. There is a canoe in the river that you use to cross. However, you can only take two items with you each time you cross. (Making a total of three things in the canoe: you plus two of your objects). The catch is this: if you leave the goose and the fox together on one side by themselves (without you), the fox will eat the goose and if you leave the goose and the corn together by themselves, the goose will eat the corn. How do you get everyone to the far side of the river without anybody or anything getting eaten. Remember, if you're not there to stop them, The fox will eat the goose The goose will eat the corn, The fox will not eat the corn, You can take as many trips as you want, You can bring one or two things with you each time, _________________ Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new - Albert Einstein |

| When I've seen variations of this before, you've needed to have two things in the canoe (besides you) when you've crossed towards the destination. Trip 1: Take the fox and the corn, leave the corn. Trip 2: Take the fox and the goose (you're there, so they won't eat each other). |

true but you trying to hold the two apart may just capsize the canoe |

| I'm not sure if I told it right. My dad was the one who told it to me and he had a more complicated answer. I'll have to ask him again; it's been a while since I heard it. But, according to the way I told it, I guess you guys are right! _________________ Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new - Albert Einstein |
