I was a Mod back when Yente was Admin. Around the time she stepped down the forum underwent a massive change where most of the Mods at the time left, myself included. Actually I think of us Mods at the time the only ones left on the forum are Song and myself, and we both left for a while.

Long story short on why I left was that I felt the forum was going too far away from God's intention for it, for it to be saved. I still don't think it's quite where it's supposed to be, but it's better than it was. After being away for a while, God put it on my heart to come back. Why? I don't know. He'll reveal that in His perfect timing, if He reveals it to me at all.

WR - This forum has had many different seasons, times, flavors, purposes, missions, etc. In addition to varying as a whole, the forum has played different roles in each of our lives. I think that as these purposes change, it makes some people feel that it's not accomplishing its proper purpose, because it's no longer the purpose it used to be. I tend to just view it like the Ecclesiastes passage, that there's a time for everything. Smile

There are seasons in the forum-life that I've enjoyed more for one reason or another, but I have seen God use every season for His own purpose and reason. It's been about 5 years that I've been on these now...and though there are times when they seem so different that they must not be right, I then see God use them in a way that He couldn't have if they were the way they used to be.
