Single and Rock At It

I was reading the Marriage and Babies thread in the Love Stories section and someone mentioned starting a "Single and Rock At It" thread. So I decided to start it.

Go away you married and dating people. jk you can post here if you want.

So I'm single and will be for at least another year and three quarters (until I leave for college. There aren't any guys in the town I live in for me). I guess I rock at being single. How do you rock at being single????

Well, I'm single and (trying) to be content at being so!!

I'm not sure if I'm that great at it, but I'm trying to figure out what God wants me to do with my life now. I don't like the idea of "waiting for a FH." I'm not waiting around for anybody to do God's will for my life! It's not like my life begins when I get married! I'm living now, and I want to use this time to glorify God!

And, no, there are no "FH possibilites" out there right now. I've never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, never been on a date, never been asked out on a date. Single. And trying to let God be the lover of my soul and find complete satisfaction in Him alone!

and I think we had one at some point...I saw the title of this thread and was confused...I thought maybe she came back! Sad

Anyway, I'd say I'm single and rock at it right now. Honestly, I am SO glad that I'm single right now and honestly wouldn't want to be in a relationship my freshman year of college. I'm just enoying forming good friendships with the girls on my hall and the guys on my brother hall.

well im NOT single anymore, but i did love it, cause you can make all your own decisions and dont have to make your plans around other people.

Well, I'm 'single' and it works for me! I'm not old enough to get married anyway, and although I do want to, it's kind of scary thinking of it, because I know how unprepared I am.

Totally agree with all of this!

I'm single, trying to be content there. Honestly, it's a bit of a battle this past bit...but I know that God's timing in all of this will be best. Smile

I'm working on getting more living happening now...I've got a job, going to get better education, get some ministry to work with, etc...and, as a friend was pointing out to me last night, I have lots of ministry opportunities around me now. I need to stop focusing on and waiting for future ministry and, though preparing for that, take advantage of the opportunities that surround me today.

Oh, and like these other girls, I've never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, never been on a date... I have been asked out, but it was by a guy who had known me all of 2 hours, so...
