I can't begin to tell you how stoked I am that we are finally doing these. In accordance with I Corinthians 14:40, we want things to be done decently and in order. That being said we must set down some rules for the sake of those who would like to share in this section of the forum. Putting these up in the beginning will hopefully avoid any hurt feelings, offense or chaos.
Set-up. This is based on how things went in the old forum. This forum has a life of its own, so rules are subject to change without prior notice

There will be a sign up sheet. Please sign up for a day to write up a devotional.
Each topic will be a month's worth of devotionals. Does that make sense? So one Topic will read "October Devotions." If, by October 15, the Topic is fifty million pages long, it will be split and the topic will be dated. (i.e. "Devotionals October 1-15). Does that make sense? Everybody nod.
You are more than welcome to reply to a devotional. That being said, here are the rules.
1. This is not the debate section. If you would like to start a debate on a topic brought up in a devotional, please find your way over to the debate section, introduce yourself to Haha!, read the rules and begin.
2. All are welcome to post. (Keep in mind any offensive posts will be removed).
3. Devotionals need to be short (speaking to myself here- lol). They should be able to be read in about 5 minutes. Remember, you are not preaching a sermon here.
4. The purpose of a devotional is to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ. It is not to promote your own personal political agenda. K?
If something really touched you this morning in your quiet time, by all means share, but do not come on here with the purpose of setting someone straight or because you have a bone to pick with somebody.
5. Devotionals need to have Scriptural basis (Christian forum- duh). Please cite Scripture in your devotional. At this point, I will not require that it be entirely Scripture (again, not preaching, just sharing) but it needs to have a Biblical foundation.
6. If you quote something please give credit where credit is due. There are many great Christian writers and books out there. It may be that you read, "My Utmost for His Highest" and just wanted to share that with the group. That is fine, but please let us know that you are not Oswald Chambers.
Other than that, I look forward to reading what God is laying on your hearts to share. Remember to keep it short, and to encourage/edify/challenge each other in the Faith. The purpose of this entire forum is to fellowship and build each other up. Please keep that in mind here.
