It's not anywhere near my birthday...mine's the 28th of June...long gone....and all that.
But I realized I don't enjoy my birthdays anymore, which is sad, cause I'm only 23. (Part of this was my insurance company's birthday present...I lost my insurance...)
So, anyway, I realized that I want to celebrate my birthday differently. I've been meddling in Lord of the Rings for a bit, and an interesting thing struck me. The hobbits on their birthdays give presents to other people; they don't receive anything. And I realized that I want to do that for my birthday. And now I wish I thought of this earlier this year...
I think that this isn't going to catch on as a good idea for many people, so I probably still will get presents for other people on their birthday's. But instead of expecting gifts on my birthday, I'm going to give them.
Anyways. I had to share that idea I had. And now I'm going to make a birthday list for others...

I like the idea! (and Happy belated Birthday) Cause as I get older, I do like getting some gifts, but I don't really NEED anything. I get all that stuff at other times during the year. I heard of a girl who asked for diaspers and wipes and stuff for her birthday... she donated them to a crisis pregnancy center or something. And besides, isn't it more blessed to give than to receive?

yes, I always heard that at the times I didn't want to. ie, Christmas...
But as I'm growing older, I appreciate the saying more. I have so much stuff. I don't need more.
